Abstract

[IT] L'articolo è incentrato sulle rappresentazioni testuali di bambini, più specificamente di maschi, in Flavio Giuseppe, nelle fonti rabbiniche e in alcune iscrizioni giudaiche di Roma, come giovani ṣaddîqîm la cui maturità, capacità intellettuale e pietà sono descritte come non meno lodevoli di quelle degli adulti. Confrontando queste fonti giudaiche con il materiale "pagano" e cristiano attraverso il tema del puer senex, si proverà a determinarne l'influenza greco-romana, evidenziando al contempo le specificità delle raffigurazioni giudaiche di bambini saggi. / [EN] This article deals with textual representations of children, more specifically boys, in Josephus, rabbinic sources and inscriptions from Rome as young ṣaddîqîm whose maturity, intellectual abilities and piety are depicted as no less praiseworthy as those of adults. By comparing those Jewish sources with ‘pagan’ and Christian material through the puer senex motive, article's aim is determining Graeco-Roman influence while highlighting the specificities of Jewish depictions of wise children.
