Abstract
[IT] In questo articolo s'illustra il percorso intellettuale di uno studioso ebreo siciliano poco noto, Šalom ben Šelomoh Yerušalmi, attivo a Siracusa alla fine del XV secolo, ma dopo l’espulsione del 1492, esule a Modone, Mazarakata, Patras, Lepanto e Arta. Yerušalmi fu sia copista, sia autore di vari trattati scientifici: ma la maggior parte dei suoi scritti originali è andata purtroppo perduta. In questo studio, si propone una panoramica di tutti i manoscritti a lui ricollegabili, dai quali è possibile ricavare sia informazioni sulle sue opere perdute, sia sulla sua Weltanschuung intellettuale. / [EN] Shalom ben Solomon Yerushalmi: mapping a Sicilian exile and his intellectual baggage In this article, the work of a little-known Sicilian intellectual is discussed, namely, Shalom ben Solomon Yerushalmi, who was active in Syracuse at the end of the 15th century. After the expulsion of the Jews from the Kingdom of Sicily in 1492, he was exiled to Modon, Mazarakata, Lepanto, Patras, and Arta. He was both the copyist as well as the author of scientific treatises: unfortunately, most of his original contributions have been lost. The aim of this study is to provide a new, general overview of all surviving manuscripts related to him, and what they reveal to us about his lost works and his intellectual Weltanschauung.
