Abstract

[IT] La struttura finanziaria e commerciale del regno di Napoli nel secondo Quattrocento crebbe anche grazie al favorevole rapporto che si instaurò tra la casa regnante e il composito mondo delle banche operanti nella capitale. Il patronage fornito dal re fu il supporto benefico che garantì non solo lo sviluppo nel Mezzogiorno di grandi firme, come Medici e Strozzi, ma favorì pure la componente commerciale meridionale, che si trovò inserita nelle grandi correnti di scambio internazionale. / [EN] The financial and commercial structure of the Kingdom of Naples in the second half of the fifteenth century grew also thanks to the favourable relationship established between the ruling house and the composite world of banks operating in the South. The patronage provided by the kings was the beneficial support that ensured not only the development in the Kingdom of great firms such as Medici and Strozzi, but also favoured the local commercial component, which was included in the great currents of international trade.
