Abstract

DEUTSCH: Die Replik setzt sich mit den Beiträgen von Christina Abel, Martin Bauch und Caterina Cappuccio im Rahmen der Diskussion des Sammelbandes "Carlo IV e l’Italia" auseinander. Sie greift zentrale in den Rezensionen hervorgehobene Themen auf – von der Umweltgeschichte des 14. Jahrhunderts über die Akteurs- und Netzwerkbeziehungen um Karl IV. bis hin zur vermeintlichen Krise des spätmittelalterlichen Kaisertums in Italien. / ENGLISH: The response engages with the contributions by Christina Abel, Martin Bauch, and Caterina Cappuccio in the context of the discussion surrounding the edited volume "Carlo IV e l’Italia". It addresses the key themes highlighted in their reviews – ranging from the environmental history of the fourteenth century and the actors and networks surrounding Charles IV to the supposed crisis of the late medieval imperial presence in Italy.
