Abstract

ESPAÑOL: El propósito de este artículo es el estudio del poder episcopal en las sedes de Calahorra, Oca y Osma en los siglos V-XI en dos niveles, local y estatal, siendo reflejo de la actividad de las aristocracias locales. Se observa una línea de continuidad, pero existen además transformaciones que afectan a los vínculos con el poder estatal y con el territorio, en relación con la transición al feudalismo en la región centro-septentrional de la península ibérica. / ENGLISH: The aim of this paper is the study of the episcopal power in the sees of Calahorra, Oca and Osma from the 5th to the 11th centuries in two levels, local and state, as a part of the activity of the local aristocracies. There is a continuity, but also transformations which have an effect on the links with the state power and the territory, in relation to the transition to Feudalism in the central-northern region of Iberian Peninsula.
