Abstract

ITALIANO: Il contributo offre uno spaccato della vita del convento agostiniano di Sant’Agostino a Roma nel corso del XV secolo. La conservazione dei registri contabili, unitamente al fondo diplomatico e alla documentazione prodotta dal priore generale dell’Ordine, ha permesso di ricostruire i rapporti dei frati con l’Urbe nelle sue diverse sfaccettature. Le donazioni e ultime volontà dei fedeli romani e stranieri, a volte finalizzate alla realizzazione di cappelle sia nella chiesa di Sant’Agostino sia nella vicina parrocchia di San Trifone, anch’essa gestita dagli eremitani, permettono di seguire i rapporti religioso-devozionali tra i frati e i propri benefattori e gli sviluppi del patrimonio immobiliare del convento. / ENGLISH: The paper provides an insight into the life of the Augustinian convent of Saint Augustine in Rome during the fifteenth century. The preservation of records, together with the diplomatic fund and the documentation produced by the Prior General of the Order, allows the study of the relationship between the friars and the Urbs in its different aspects. Sometimes donations and last will of the believers, Romans and foreigners, pushed to build new chapels in the church of St. Augustine or in the nearby parish of St. Tryphon, also charged to the Hermits; they represent an interesting source for analyzing the connections with their benefactors and the development of the real estate of the convent.
