Abstract
This paper’s focus is about the power exercised by the royal family of Naples in Calabria during the XV century, through the allocations of institutional offices and manors to the members of the dynasty, in particular the bastards of Ferrante I. The research intends therefore to explore the reasons which caused the establishment of an Aragonese stronghold in the province.
